ISEE Math Exam Overview
Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE)
The ISEE is a private school entrance exam used by many independent schools in the United States for admissions into grades 2 - 12.
The ISEE includes two math-focused sections:
- 🧠 Quantitative Reasoning – math thinking, problem solving, and comparison
- 📊 Mathematics Achievement – direct computation and math skills
These sections test how well students can apply math skills, reason logically, and solve problems under time pressure
Students are tested on:
- Number sense and operations
